The Bilstein B8 5160 Rear Driver-Side Remote-Reservoir Shock is built for 4Runner owners who regularly push their suspension beyond everyday driving. By incorporating a remote reservoir into Bilstein's proven monotube design, it provides improved thermal performance and more consistent damping during extended off-road use.

The external remote reservoir increases shock oil capacity, which helps reduce shock fade during prolonged trail use, rough terrain, towing, and heavily loaded overland travel while maintaining predictable suspension performance.

A large piston works with velocity-sensitive digressive valving to react immediately to changing terrain. The result is excellent body control, improved traction, and confident handling over rocks, washboards, and uneven surfaces.

A zinc-plated finish provides added resistance against corrosion and harsh environmental conditions, while the unique swivel banjo fitting allows 360-degree reservoir rotation for a clean, low-profile installation that adapts easily.
