The Bilstein B8 8112 ZoneControl CR Front Driver-Side Remote-Reservoir Coilover is engineered for 5th-Gen 4Runner models equipped with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, delivering a more sophisticated approach to suspension control. Its position-sensitive design varies damping characteristics according to suspension position, balancing comfort during normal driving with increased control when the suspension encounters larger inputs.

ZoneControl CR technology uses a triple-piston architecture with three stages of compression valving and two stages of rebound valving, allowing the coilover to provide damping throughout the suspension's range of motion.

A threaded spring seat allows the front ride height to be adjusted across a 1.2–3.5-inch lift range. This provides greater flexibility when dialing in the 4Runner's stance, suspension geometry, and tire clearance for a specific build.

The remote reservoir increases oil capacity and cooling potential during demanding suspension use. A bolt-on anodized mounting bracket provides a secure, purpose-built location for the reservoir while maintaining a clean installation.
