Old Man Emu suspension systems are designed as matched component packages to maintain proper suspension balance and predictable handling. Each part in the kit works together to improve ride quality while supporting the additional loads commonly carried during overland travel and equipment-heavy vehicle builds.

Front struts and rear shocks utilize the Nitrocharger Plus twin-tube architecture, which incorporates an external reserve tube to shield internal damping components. This design enhances durability when exposed to rocks, debris, and repeated suspension impacts off-road.

Front coil springs support between 220 and 330 pounds of additional front-end equipment, such as armor and winches. Reinforced rear leaf springs provide up to 600 pounds of load support, helping maintain proper ride height when carrying cargo and recovery gear.

The suspension system provides approximately two inches of lift at both the front and rear, increasing ground clearance while maintaining balanced vehicle stance. Carefully matched spring rates and damping characteristics ensure stable handling on- and off-road.
