Throttle Response Controller for 5th-Gen 4Runner (2010–2024)

The Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller is designed to give 5th-Gen 4Runner drivers greater influence over how the accelerator responds to pedal input. It works within the vehicle's electronic throttle system to modify the signal reaching the ECU, providing adjustable response characteristics without altering the engine's underlying power output.

Factory programming can create a delay between pressing the accelerator and the engine response. Pedal Commander alters that signal mapping for a more immediate connection between pedal movement and throttle response.

A predictable accelerator can be especially useful on technical terrain where small adjustments matter. The controller lets drivers establish a throttle response that better suits slow-speed maneuvering and rough off-road sections.

Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+ modes paired with nine sensitivity levels within each mode create 36 total settings. Drivers can quickly move between restrained, balanced, and highly responsive configurations as conditions change.

The controller connects directly between the factory accelerator pedal electrical connection. No wiring modifications, cutting, or special tools are required. The system can also be removed without permanently modifying the vehicle.
