The Old Man Emu BP-51 Suspension Kit provides a lifted suspension configuration for Land Cruiser 250 Series vehicles carrying additional weight toward the front while retaining an unloaded rear setup.. Front upper control arms are included to complement the raised front suspension, while BP-51 shocks provide position-sensitive damping and adjustable compression and rebound control.

A 0–330-pound front load rating supports builds with varying amounts of additional front-end equipment. The 0-pound rear specification keeps the rear suspension matched to vehicles that do not require additional rear load capacity.

The upper control arms are designed around the increased front ride height. Their geometry helps bring alignment cams back into an acceptable range while providing additional clearance around the front suspension and wheel.

BP-51 shocks use internal-bypass technology to vary damping according to piston position. Fluid travels through the piston and dedicated bypasses, allowing the shock response to change through different portions of shock travel.

Ten levels of compression and ten levels of rebound adjustment provide separate control over the shock's response. The settings can be refined independently to suit road conditions, vehicle equipment, and driving preferences.
