The Old Man Emu MT64 Suspension Kit is designed for Tacoma builds that combine front-end protection equipment with rear cargo systems. Coil springs rated for 220–330 pounds in the front help maintain proper ride height when bumpers, skid plates, or winches are installed, while rear springs rated for 440 pounds provide additional support for cargo platforms, storage systems, and overland gear. Matched damping characteristics ensure consistent suspension behavior across pavement, gravel, and technical terrain.

Each MT64 shock features a 2.8-inch aluminum monotube body that increases internal oil capacity and improves thermal efficiency during sustained off-road use. Aluminum construction dissipates heat significantly faster than traditional steel shock bodies.

Digressive valving technology allows the shocks to react immediately to changing terrain conditions, improving stability and ride comfort. Adjustable snap-ring positions on the front coilovers allow lift tuning between 1.75 and 3 inches to accommodate varying builds.

Vehicle-specific engineering ensures the suspension components function as a cohesive system rather than independent upgrades. Coil springs and damping rates are carefully matched to support both front and rear load requirements while preserving geometry.
