Old Man Emu BP-51 Passenger-Side Front Remote-Reservoir Coilover for Toyota Tacoma (2005–2023)

Designed, developed, and manufactured entirely by Old Man Emu ride engineers, the BP-51 front coilover applies motorsports-level technology to the Tacoma platform. Precision machining and remote reservoir integration deliver stable, repeatable damping performance across extended on-road and off-road use.

Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the shock body and remote reservoir are engineered for strength, reduced weight, and efficient heat dissipation. Hard-anodized surfaces improve resistance to corrosion and abrasion from trail debris.

Shim-controlled internal bypass valving creates position-sensitive damping that remains compliant during normal driving while increasing resistance near full compression and rebound. This design improves impact control, steering stability, and overall chassis confidence.

Large-bore architecture and increased oil volume enhance damping consistency and fade resistance. Improved end-zone control reduces body movement and delivers predictable handling over uneven surfaces.

Independent compression and rebound adjusters allow precise tuning to suit vehicle setup, accessory weight, and terrain. Adjustments are performed directly on the vehicle without removing the coilover.
