Old Man Emu suspension systems are engineered as tuned and matched packages rather than individual components. Each spring and shock absorber combination is developed to support varying vehicle loads while maintaining balanced ride characteristics. This system approach helps maintain ride height and consistent suspension behavior as equipment is added to the vehicle.

At the core of the system are Old Man Emu BP-51 internal bypass shock absorbers. Position-sensitive damping allows the shocks to respond differently throughout the suspension travel range, improving ride comfort on small bumps.

BP-51 shocks provide on-vehicle adjustability with ten levels of compression damping and ten levels of rebound damping. This allows drivers to fine-tune suspension behavior depending on terrain, weight, and driving preferences without removing the shocks.

A remote-mounted oil reservoir increases total oil capacity, helping maintain stable damping performance during prolonged off-road use. The 6061 aluminum shock body improves heat dissipation and corrosion resistance while maintaining strength.

This suspension kit installs as a direct replacement for factory or aftermarket suspension components. Each part is engineered specifically, ensuring precise fitment and predictable performance both on pavement and on demanding terrain.
