The Sherpa Equipment Co. Peak Series Crestone Roof Rack for the 5th-Gen 4Runner is now in stock at Corgrit, with both the Standard Fairing and 40-Inch-Light-Bar-Cutout Fairing configurations available.

For customers ordering a Crestone through Corgrit, that means there is no three-week production lead time to account for. Units currently in Corgrit inventory are available for fulfillment, and products displaying the "Ships in 1 Business Day" badge on the product page are scheduled to ship within one business day.

The Crestone is a full-length aluminum roof rack developed specifically for the 5th-Gen 4Runner. With aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum rails, anodized aluminum crossbars, a 300-pound dynamic load capacity, and a 700-pound static load capacity, the Peak Series platform is designed to provide substantial carrying capacity without the weight and construction of a conventional steel rack.

The Crestone is designed around the 5th-Gen 4Runner, resulting in a vehicle-specific rack that provides a broad, usable platform while maintaining a clean integration with the roof line.

Aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum roof rack rails paired with anodized aluminum crossbars provides the strength necessary for carrying cases, containers, and equipment while keeping the overall rack system relatively lightweight. For an overland or trip-oriented 4Runner, that balance is important. A roof rack needs to provide enough structural capacity for cargo, recovery equipment, camping equipment, and other accessories without adding unnecessary weight to the vehicle's highest point.

The Peak Series Crestone is engineered around that requirement.

Fairing Configurations

Corgrit currently stocks both of the Peak Series Crestone roof rack fairing configurations.

Standard Fairing

Both configurations share the Crestone's core construction, load ratings, and no-drill installation system. The sole difference is the front fairing configuration and its provision for a 40-inch light bar.

Heavy-Duty Load Capacity

The Crestone has a 300-pound dynamic load capacity and a 700-pound static load capacity.

A 300-pound dynamic rating applies while the vehicle is in motion, providing capacity for equipment carried on the rack during normal driving and off-road travel. The 700-pound static rating applies when the vehicle is stationary, providing substantially greater capacity when the rack is being used while parked.

This distinction makes the Crestone particularly well-suited to overland applications where the roof rack may carry equipment during travel and support additional loads while the vehicle is stationary. The rack's load capacity also gives builders considerable flexibility in how the platform is configured. Cargo boxes, recovery equipment, camping gear, lighting, and other roof-mounted accessories can be incorporated according to the requirements of the build.

No-Drill Installation

The Crestone uses a no-drill installation, utilizing the existing roof mounting points rather than requiring new holes to be drilled, which is an important consideration for owners who want a permanent, full-length roof rack without modifying the vehicle's roof. The installation maintains the factory mounting structure while providing the attachment points necessary for the Peak Series platform.

A vehicle-specific mounting design also contributes to the rack's clean fit on the 4Runner. Rather than relying on a universal mounting arrangement, the Crestone is engineered specifically around the 5th-Gen platform.

No Silicone Required

Another notable aspect of the Crestone rack's installation system is its use of purpose-built rubber seals rather than silicone. The seals are incorporated into the rack's mounting system to provide the necessary interface between the rack and vehicle without requiring silicone to be applied during installation.

This approach makes for a cleaner installation and avoids the need to rely on installer-applied sealant as part of the rack's mounting process. It is also representative of the attention to detail throughout the Peak Series design, where individual components are developed as part of a complete roof rack system.

Built for Your 5th-Gen 4Runner

The Crestone's construction and mounting system are only part of what makes it useful as a platform for the 5th-Gen 4Runner.

The full-length rack provides a substantial amount of usable mounting area while the aluminum crossbars create flexibility for positioning equipment and accessories. That makes it suitable for a wide range of configurations, from relatively simple cargo-carrying setups to more comprehensive overland builds.

The platform can be configured around the equipment required for a particular vehicle rather than forcing every 4Runner into the same setup. That versatility is one of the primary advantages of a full-length roof rack: cargo and equipment that would otherwise occupy valuable interior space can be moved to the roof while leaving the cabin available for passengers and other gear. For 4Runner owners using their vehicles for camping, overlanding, trail travel, or extended road trips, the Crestone provides a substantial foundation for that equipment.

The Sherpa Equipment Co. Peak Series Crestone roof rack combines a vehicle-specific, no-drill and no-silicone installation with aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum rails, anodized aluminum crossbars, substantial dynamic and static load capacities for off-roaders, overlanders, rooftop tents, and an unlimited list more.

The Peak Series Crestone roof rack is typically produced on a three-week build cycle when ordered through the standard production queue. That timeline does not apply to current Corgrit inventory.

Roof racks, like the Peak Series Crestone, with Corgrit's "Ships in 1 Business Day" badge are in stock and ship within a day of order processing. For builds tied to installation appointments, travel dates, or staged vehicle outfitting schedules, this completely eliminates the typical production delay.
