The Old Man Emu BP-51 Suspension Kit is designed as a tuned and matched system for the 6th-Gen 4Runner. Rather than treating lift height, damping, and suspension geometry as separate upgrades, the package combines these elements into a coordinated setup. Its configuration is intended to account for how the vehicle is equipped and the conditions it is expected to encounter.

BP-51 internal-bypass technology varies damping based on shock position. This design responds to changing movement throughout its travel, supporting a controlled ride across paved roads, uneven surfaces, and off-road terrain.

BP-51 shocks feature 10 levels of independent compression and rebound adjustment, allowing damping behavior to be fine-tuned directly on the vehicle, providing flexibility to tailor suspension response to driving preferences.

The tubular front upper control arms help correct front suspension geometry with the 3-inch lift. Proper lifted geometry is important for supporting the intended relationship between suspension components and the front wheels

Position-sensitive damping, adjustability, and added oil capacity work together to support suspension control across a range of driving conditions. The BP-51 system balances ride comfort and handling on pavement or off-road.
