The Dissent Off-Road Skid Plate System was developed with a focus on intelligent protection—strong where it matters, light where it counts. Built from 1/4" 5052 aluminum, the system uses strategic gusseting and bracing to create a rigid structure that handles trail punishment without dragging down the suspension with excessive weight. Ventilation ports help critical components like the catalytic converter stay within temperature spec, while service access holes make it easier to maintain driveline components without full removal. It’s smart armor, built for everyday use and serious off-road abuse.

Each skid is laser-cut from premium 5052 aluminum and gusseted at stress points to increase durability without compromising weight. The material choice delivers excellent corrosion resistance and trail resilience, while the system’s interlocking design provides rigidity across the full underbody. High-quality Grade 8 and Grade 10.9 hardware is included for secure mounting and long-term reliability. Skids are shipped raw; surface blemishes may be visible from manufacturing, and powder coating is available upon request.

Unlike traditional flat-plate designs, the Dissent system features engineered venting and cutouts that help regulate airflow across the drivetrain and reduce suction in mud, snow, and water. These vents also serve as deterrents in high-theft areas by making catalytic converter access more difficult. Openings for driveline maintenance—including slip yoke and u-joint access—streamline service intervals and reduce the need for skid removal.

This skid set is fully compatible with both stock and 1” differential drop setups, making it an ideal fit for a range of suspension builds. The front skid is removable independently for easier access to the engine bay during oil changes or mechanical work, without affecting the rest of the system.
