Overview

The Dissent Off-Road Tire Carrier Swing-Out is a precision-built solution for securely mounting a full-size spare while preserving bumper clearance and rear visibility. The included flip-up table folds neatly behind the tire when not in use, offering clean storage and easy access when deployed. Tire mount position is adjustable in both depth and tilt, allowing a snug fit for a wide range of offsets and sidewall sizes. Driver- and passenger-side options are available to support both single- and dual-arm setups, with driver-side placement preferred for visibility in left-hand drive markets.

Construction

Engineered for strength without excess weight, the arm is built using a proprietary design developed through off-road testing. The structure includes internal bracing and reinforced contact points, striking a balance between rigidity and everyday usability. The result is a solid, shake-free swing-out tested on hundreds of Land Cruisers in real trail conditions.

Design

A dual-shear hinge allows for a narrower bumper profile without sacrificing strength. The swing-out opens easily with a light forward push and closes securely with a slam-shut auto-latch system. A gas strut holds the arm open when parked on inclines or uneven terrain. Geometry has been refined through multiple design iterations to minimize flex and eliminate rattle.

Mounting Options

Available for either driver or passenger side mounting. Compatible with single or dual swing-out bumper configurations. 5-lug and 6-lug wheel mount patterns available to match U.S. and international Land Cruiser specs.

Part of Dissent Off-Road’s modular swing-out system, the Tire Carrier integrates seamlessly with other arm options such as the Utility Box or Jerry Can Holder. All arms share the same hinge and latch hardware, making upgrades or configuration changes easy without replacing the full system.

Installation

The swing-out is designed to mount directly to any Dissent Off-Road rear bumper equipped with swing-out provisions. No welding is required.
